1969 AC with tunnel/no dash ?
I was looking over a 69 suburban today with the AC tunnel front to back and under the hood I could see no AC compressor on the motor?. AC components were in the grill area and with my limited viewing I couldn't see any provisions for lines to run to the motor. I am unfamiliar with this particular unit and the rig looked fairly unmolested so I wasn't sure if it was missing the compressor or if its different than your normal Auto AC system.

Re: 1969 AC with tunnel/no dash ?
Our 69 was factory original AC. Roof tunnel front to back, all AC controls were part of the tunnel. No AC components were part of the dash. Under the hood looked like AC on the trucks, excecpt the refrigerant lines ran under the body, down the driverside body and poked up inside the body by the "4th" door.
Sounds likt the compressor and lines are missing from the rig you are looking at. |
