LS Condenser?

In the not to distant future I will be finalizing my LS into my Squarebody. With that comes putting a new Radiator and Condenser. My truck is a 1973. I have heard that a 1985 Squarebody Condenser works nicely for LS swaps.

I will be using the stock Denso 10S17F type compressor, in the stock lower position, AND keeping the stock Squarebody AC unit in the firewall. (The stock Squarebody system was charge and working great before I started the LS Swap-It was converted to R134 in the early 1990's).This AC unit has never given us any problems.

Anybody have any thoughts before I start purchasing components?

Will a 1985 condenser work? (as I understand it both ports are on the passenger side)

Re: LS Condenser?

spectre or other aftermarket makes a stacked plate design, like new cars have. Looks.... errr. cheap, but it was around 100$ and "bolt on" when i last looked them up. I havnt bought it, rather find a oem version that fits as good but will require custom hoses.... aftermarket just fails these trucks
