To kill the engine you can also ground the tach lead from the coil be it an HEI or points

Re: Hidden Ignition Kill switch install - Best wire to put the switch on?
This is also the only thing mentioned in this thread that would stop someone from stealing it with nothing more than a 4 feet piece of wire & a screwdriver. Or just the wire if a manual transmission. Of course the only additional thing one would have to do to defeat this is to rip the tach wire off the coil.

Just drive a 67 with the 3 on the tree and a hand brake , They'll never get it out of your driveway !

I like this too. You really have to look to find it. With the air cleaner on it's hard to see the coil terminals anyway. Crank and crank to your hearts content and it won't start.

Ok then. Tell me what positions the four 3 way switches need to be in to start the truck? It’s just another layer of protection to go along with the alarm system. The Problem with simple kill switches is they are generally installed within reach of the drivers seat and thus easy to find. the relay wired into the highbeam switch or cig lighter is pretty known. A fuel cut off switch is one of the best anti theft devices . The truck stops 1/4 down the road after the carb bowl empties out. Leaves the thief in middle of road. I never did this because I was worried I would forget to reset it which could be dangerous. I believe electric fuel cuts offs are available to be wired into an alarm system.
