My friend and I got the transmission swap finished up on his 68 Spitfire last Friday evening. Got some pictures with the two today and figured out that the front overhang from the center of the front axle is just about the same between the two. Wheelbase is totally different though
![]() On the way home, I did a first: chunked the fan belt off ![]() Of course, I didn’t have a 1/2” wrench with me, but thankfully my friend did so he turned back around and gave me an extra hand. The one good thing I did was keep an old belt under the seat that although slightly too long, allowed me to get home without overheating anything. Time for a new belt I guess ![]()
