Stolen C10 from eastern North Dakota

Not mine but saw on facebook. This is in eastern North Dakota, so MN/SD/IA are all real possibilities.

^ Indeed. It's pretty distinctive, so probably inside a cargo trailer. That stinks.

One good thing modern social media is good for, getting the word out and getting eyes looking. And you can practically get law inforcements attention 24/7 with a social post, instead of calling.
Hope he finds it in one piece.

I hope so, but the update on their post did not specify any of that.

Re: Stolen C10 from eastern North Dakota

Here in Texas a owner just south of me caught up to a truck thief (not a classic) and shot and killed him!

I am not at all saying this the proper way to handle things but each time I hear/read of a stolen vehicle I think, did the thief get shot?

Are the horse thief laws still on the books, ever there in Texas?

Not a limerick but the chorus to a Disney TV show about the adventures of John Horton Slaughter. One time Texas Ranger, Confederate veteran and later Arizona rancher and lawman. He was elected Sherrif of Cochise County AZ, serving 2 terms.
Tom Tryon played him in a TV series in 1958.

The links don't work. You'll have to fish around You Tube...

Re: Stolen C10 from eastern North Dakota

Unfortunately horse stealing is now only a felony in Texas, a 10 year sentence. Classic car & truck thievery should be more severely dealt with. It would stop a lot of the classic vehicle thefts, or at least remove the thieves for a couple decades.
