Panel delivery bed floor?
Is the 55-59 panel 3105 bed floor the same as a fleetside or stepside? Holley/Brothers trucks has a deal on a "1 ton" pine bed floor kit that looks halfway decent, and judging by the bottom 8" of the truck it could probably use one. I'm assuming "1 ton" floor is the lwb big boy truck and the site said it was compatible just out of error? Any insight is appreciated.

Re: Panel delivery bed floor?
I don't even remember what the floor was in my 57 1/2 ton panel but it was solid as in great conditon. By solid meaning that the boards were in greatshape, It had been a laundry/drycleaning delivery truck for most of it's life before it became a hot rod panel truck.

Re: Panel delivery bed floor?
Panel trucks had one piece plywood floors. For obvious reasons you probably wouldn't want an unsealed seam every nine inches in the floor. Between the wheelwells is 50 inches, probably 68 inches wide side to side. FYI I owned a 59 3800 for 40 years or more, you can find a picture of it in my TRUK build

Re: Panel delivery bed floor?
like ogre said, plywood, no leaks on a rainy day.
if you need specs download the 55-59 chevrolet truck factory assembly manual from the trifive site. it's a free download so why not have a copy if you own the truck. all the specs for all the trucks. |

Re: Panel delivery bed floor?
My 3800 was over 9ft long. I'm sure that the 3100 is less than 8ft and could be done with pressure treated t&g plywood. 2 sheets with the seam in the middle.
