Yeah, those bus-type were a solution for the mirror blind spot. Then came below eyeline mirrors. But how many truckers drive safely with west coast style mirrors, even today? We all know the routine, rock back or forward to see the blind spot. You could say that adds to safety by giving that extra second for a second look.

Total opposite to those bikini mirrors the kids are so fond of. You do have to keep your eyes peeled for demons hiding behind the after dimension. But no cops or semis can ever sneak up on your six on the highway.
