Original dash harness Question

I originally was going to go back with an old school 350 engine but decided I may go the LS Swap route with my 67 C10 If I can get a better handle on what all is involved.
I had originally purchased a new (original style) Underdash harness and fuse box from American Autowire as well as some original under the hood/lights wiring harnesses.
I know very little about wiring. Can I still use these original style harnesses if I end up doing an LS Swap? Thanks.

Re: Original dash harness Question

For most LS swaps the LS harness is totally separate from the C10 electrical harness. From the Autowire harness you need 12 volt constant and 12 volt switched hot in start/run going to the LS ECM. Its really important to have really solid grounds with a LS swap. Engine to the frame. LS harness grounds to the back of the cylinder heads. Frame to the battery. You can build a LS harness from a salvaged vehicle. I don't do that. I buy the harness and ECM (and TCM) if needed from one supplier with a base tune.

Re: Original dash harness Question

i used american auto wire to wire my c10 then i ls swaped it i left many wires out of the harness at the fire wall i think i used all the stock lighting, oil pressure and temp sesnor wires for my guages one of them was a 12 volt when key was on, and the 12 signal wire for starter
