67-68 in the foreground.
69-70 in the middle.

Most people don’t know there is a difference in seats and brackets.

I was going to buy 2 sets of the "lowered" seat brackets for my 67 and 68. Now I'm wondering how, or if the will work...I will be asking those folks some questions before I spend any $$$

They work. My friend Zac makes them. He owns Full Custom Fab in Texas. They work by the brackets are 2 inches shorter than stock brackets. These brackets have an inch and a half play to move front to back to set where you want seat but once you tighten the bolts down to the floor you are set on where the seat will be. They are great brackets and do just what they say. "Drop that bench"
You need to specify if you have "tall" stock brackets or "short" stock brackets. 67-70 are the tall style and 71-72 are the short style. See my above picture in the difference in year stock brackets.

Makes me wonder if our 68 has a 71 or 2 seat?
It had some tall blocks under it. Took them all out and its low low now.

Thanks. After I posted post 81. I found Zac's website, again. I read it over thoroughly. It explained what you just posted. I plan to buy 2 sets. Now to get the seats re-done!!!

I see brackets and seats are different depending on years.
Does anyone know if I get a seat from a 71/72 that has the brackets included if it will bolt up to the cab floor holes in my 67?

Yes.
All the bolt holes in the floor of the cab are the same.

Just stumbled on your thread. Great information. I never knew how much I didn't know about the seat and brace differences. Wow, very helpful.

Now I'm digging through my boxes trying to figure out how many I have mislabeled. Pulled out of 68 or ? truck and marked 68 or whatever. Not so sure now.

I recently pulled a newly upholstered bench form a 69 C10 "full foam on SPID") but now think the seat may have come out of something different but the tracks appear to be 69-70.

Anyone care to tell me what year seat I have??

Problem solved! Looked on the back of the tag after seeing another thread on this site noting there is a date on the tags along with the part #.

Seat is correct. Date on the tag is 8-14-68 which works with my trucks build date the last week of Aug 1968. Didn't see it at first because it was in the folded part.
