Two post radios

I think you may have to buy a DIN hole cover plate, and cut it out to fit a classic-style 2 knob radio.

You would think one of these so called classic car radio companies would make one so it would fit in the cut dash to restore the classic look they claim to sell radios for.

I can't imagine why anyone would build such a thing. How many could they possibly sell? Maybe one. Use a DIN radio or fix the dash & use a 2 post.

A lot of dashes cut for DIN radios. Our trucks are a common vehicle with all steel dash and fairly easily repaired...compared to some vehicles that will be harder to find to cut the patch from not to mention the plastic that's been cut.

Thanks guyryan100. I had seen that one for like $30 and read bad reviews but hey its only $30, right?! Special-k just got my truck out of body shop after 15 months, the idea of putting it back isn't appealing to weld, prep and repaint the dash. I think there are more than one 67 twins but there is a need I'm sure for at least 2, lol. Side note for 67 twins: I bought a T5 to put behind 6cyl, swapped tail sections and what not. How do you like the 5 spd behind yours? I have a 3spd now.

Wait.... you put your truck in a body shop for 15 months and didn't ask them to fix a metal dash which is very common to be cut up, and would be very easy to be repaired?


Either way, as you have already found($30; bad reviews) typically the more "gimmicky" a radio is(finding a single din wannabe-double-post), the crappier it is.

Just be careful you don't spend too much time doing yourself an un-favor.
I understand installing radios isn't rocket science, but it does take an afternoon with proper clean-up.
