Very cool truck OP, not sure if I missed it but why did you not use that beauty of a small block? How come you decided to LS instead?

The small block has been in the truck since my dad bought it back in 94. With the exception of some carb work, the motor has never been opened up in all those years except recently for just new gaskets and being painted. After all the work that has been done with the truck, I didnt want to finally get it back on the road and then the motor crap out. So I decided to go the LS route for "hopefully" longevity and reliability.
