New fuel injectors needed , from who?
So my ls swap has been sitting a few years on the shelf and I'm sure the injectors are toast so I want to replace them. The problem I found was the price point is all over the board for stock 5.3 fuel injectors. I can spend up to $800 bucks for eight or a Amazon product for as low as $69. I would prefer to support the local brick and mortar parts store but having a tough time swallowing there price and really just want it done,in short where and what are you payin for your replacement 5.3 stock injectors?.

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
I found the same thing when I was looking at new injectors, pricing all over the map
I used my ultrasonic cleaner and a injector firing tool..cleaned them myself in seafoam... I read so many bad reviews about the cheap ones .. even ones marked acdelco , heard they were chineseum ones put in gm boxes if I need to buy any, I'll just pony up and get them from a reliable source..

Take a look at CS Performance Injectors. I got mine from them, and it didn't break the bank. They'll also provide a flow data sheet showing flow results and you can send them your old injectors for a refund credit.

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
Stay away from snake eater injectors unless you like melting down your engine, they are cheap and not worth the risk, read on the LS forums and FB about their issues. If your not doing anything crazy with your engine stick with stock ones, sending them off to be cleaned it your best bet, odds are they are fine. What are you using for engine management? If a stock ECU, for simplicity sake stay stock, either another set from the dealer or a reputable parts place, not amazon or eBay if your dead set on replacing them. Or a set from the junk yard or someone parting out a pull out engine.

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
A friend of my has a high end turbo motor and almost hydraulic locked his motor because the new Holley injectors leaked out of the box. Then had more issues on the dyno with them.
If you don't need the extra fuel, go stock from a reliable source. Or and easy upgrade is the GM flex fuel injectors. They have some extra capacity and are GM reliable. Cheers. |

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
I second the suggestion to have your originals serviced. I recently went through this search process and came to the same conclusions as you have. If you want good injectors at a reasonable price, your most likely option is serviced originals. I ended up building a little test rig and serviced mine with a rebuild kit, but there are plenty of vendors who will service them for you if you don't want to deal with the hassle.

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
But if you change injectors to a different style, be aware ,not all plugs are the same..
Marc (youngrodder) had his stock Injectors rebuilt, then he hydroed his engine on the 1st crank with them.so be aware.. if for some reason the engine won't turn over, pull the plugs , and dont cause a spark..you may have a cylinder full of fuel

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
On my hot rod LS projects I always send the stock injectors out to cleaned. It's about $300 for a set of eight. They sonic clean them. Check flow rates so they flow all the same and replace the o-rings. Never had an issue. Plug and play.
Per my tuner the off brand injectors aren't "scaled" like the stock injectors and the ECM may run your engine rich or even worse really lean. |

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
The CS injectors are still running great and I have no affiliation with them.

Re: New fuel injectors needed , from who?
I put Fuel Injector Clinic injectors in my LS3. Their website was a great resource for determining the size I need for the fuel I was running. They are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

I found brand new pull offs with the fuel rail for pretty cheap on eBay. I got the 55lb gm injectors. Worth looking into
