I have had my headers for about a month. And they are really starting to tick sitting at idle with the radio off I can here them ticking I can find no leak. Does this sound normal?

Thumbs up

WELL THERE HAS BEEN MUCH TALK ON THIS TOPIC....
#1 GASKETS.....MOST WILL DO....I RECOMMEND COPPER.....
#2 GOT TO HAVE STAGE 8 LOCKING BOLT'S....GET FROM SUMMIT OR JEG'S

ALL THE ENGINE TWISTING....AND HEATING AND COOLING OFF....WILL LOOSEN YOUR BOLT'S....

EVEN A PIN SIZE HOLE WILL DRIVE YOU NUT'S AND I MEAN A STRIGHT PIN...
WHEN YOU REMOVE THE OLD GASKET'S...LOOK FOR LITTLE BLAQCK STRIGHT LINE'S.......YOUR PAL MARK.....RAGENRAT638

Well I am sorry I started another thread but I can find no leaks bolts are tight and gaskets are new. Many people have told me that they make that ticking and poping noise in the collectors because they are thiner than manifolds. Just trying to make sure they are ok.

I hear no ticking with my headers on my 350, right now I have a partially back gasket which ticks sometimes under throttle, but it clears up after it gets warm. I have copper gaskets on my collectors and they work MUCH better than the paper/metal gaskets.
