Alternative rear blazer seat?

Anyone using a different seat and if yes what did it come from, my blazer doesn't have a rear seat at all.
Thanxs

Re: Alternative rear blazer seat?

I have two rear seats, both from Yukon XLs. I had to fabricate a bracket, but with my front bench seat, I can carry 9 people.

Square body rear Blazer seats work well and are inexpensive and easy to find

Sounds good, that's what I will be on the look out for. I don't want the seats setting up high, more less level with top of sides.
Thanxs guy's

Re: Alternative rear blazer seat?

PRP will make a bench seat in whatever width and color scheme you want. All you have to do is make some brackets to mount it.

Re: Alternative rear blazer seat?

The old square body blaz and burb rear fold and tumble seats used to be popular when they were cheap in the salvage yards. Getting tougher to find them reasonably priced these days.

The width between wheel wells of the 69-72 Blazers is 50". The rear seat ("2nd row") of the newer 4 door Jeeps is 49". The TJ/YJ (classic 2 dr. jeeps) rear seat is fold & tumble, and has been used by many but is only about 34" wide ..perfect for one adult, two small kids or a dog, also installs offset to one side if extra transport/storage of longer items is needed.

You can remove the headrests on most of the newer rear seat options to bring down the height if needed.

Re: Alternative rear blazer seat?

If you want to use a rear seat that is more OEM size there is an aftermarket frame availible for the 69-72 blazers / jimmys now that some vendors on the site can likely supply. I have not been able to find a replacement foam for the rear seat frame though does anyone know if there is a foam option out there?

For others searching, we have an OE used 72 blazer/jimmy rear seat setup (like the one you pictured above)
available in the below linked f/s thread over on the blazer-suburban side of the parts board. Mel

Mine is the 3rd row from an 83 Burb; I welded in the floor brackets from the burb and the seat folds AND is removable. Sits BETWEEN the wheelwells too.

Re: Alternative rear blazer seat?

It would be nice if they would reproduce the bucket seat frames.

Re: Alternative rear blazer seat?

Found a backseat out of a 79 blazer, gonna work fine with some mods to the mounting brackets...
