i hate fedex!

so, usps delievers my qlogic kickpanels today

and i'm waiting on fedex to deliver a package also. my 5-1/4 component speakers.

so about 2:00pm i'm like "hmm... i wonder where the fedex man is at?"

then my dad tells me that he drove by and pulled into a driveway and turned around.

so i check the tracking number and it shows that it was delivered today at 12:49pm.

no such delivery was made at my house. it also says that the gate was open. I DONT EVEN HAVE A GATE!!!

i've already called the fedex number but the driver wont get the message till tommorow. even then i dont know what will happen. the best i can hopee for is that who ever it was delievered to will be nice enough to bring the package to the proper house.

i dont wanna have to go through getting my money back or another one shipped cause i ordered the speakers on ebay.

I've had that problem with fed ex, too. I live on a street called Cochran and the fed-ex guy "delivered" my stuff to a street that didn't even exist in my city! I think some of their drivers have a little "home grown scam operation" going.

oh yeah thats standard for Fed Ex, they said they "delivered" things my dad ordered, yet we received nothing. A trip to the Fed Ex place bright and early the next morning by my not-so-happy dad got him his stuff

Never had a problem here with Fed-ex. I ship and receive A LOT of stuff thru them...no problems as of yet.

No matter who you go thru, there will always be some screw ups or mistakes made..after all, we are all human.

i had that problem with UPS when they shipped my helms manual, i yelled at helms, cause i had no swing with UPS and then 3 days later i got BOTH packages, so now i have 1 shop manual for the shop that i don't care to much if it gets greasy, and one for the house.

It's DHL and they are attempting to be very competitive going against UPS and FedEx. Airborne Express was purchased by DHL. FedEx bought Kinkos and UPS bought Mailbox Etc. I like FedEx and have had no problems with them personally. Their rates are lower than UPS's rates.

I've had problems with Fedex.....Insurance is a no go, the individual carriers are on their own. So if they don't have Insurance your lost.

Lucky for me the company I delt with send another item, of course it took awhile.

That doesn't make sense. I have shipped many things thru Fed-ex, with and without insurance. They insure the packages up to $100 at no charge, anything above that is extra.

I have shipped tons with Fed Ex as well, including several unwrapped packages like tires and driveshafts and have had all of them arrive unharmed and fast. Plus, for stuff over about 7 lbs., nobody can compare to their rates. I guess I'll just keep using them until they screw up.

Fedex has MUCH better rates on heavy stuff like tires, I think last time a priced a set of 31s to be shipped it was gonna be like 15 a tire, UPS wanted like 50.

I work for FEDEX, though not in the package department anymore (aircraft mechanic). I've had no problems with anything delivered by FEDEX. I have recieved 2 different packages containing very hard to get NOS body moldings that were bent from UPS. I got my money back from one, and just kept the other. A NOS molding for my 1965 Bel Air 2-door sedan is not easy to come by. I don't want my money back UPS, I want my molding straight! David

I know my UPS man pretty well, I went to school with his kid.

We have a box on the front porch to put stuff in because our dogs used to chew boxes up.

They chewed up a motherboard and some ram for a computer one time even.

I've never had probs with UPS or Fedex, but Airborne Express delivered a stereo for my garage last december, to my front door. We have a sign cleary posted that states to use the side door, and he just left it on my front doorstep. It took me a few days to find the package, and now the stereo face doesn't light up because of the moisture the box absorbed because of all the snowfall. When I checked Airborne's site, it said "signature accepted" on their site. Nobody ever signed for the stereo...and of course they found every excuse in the book not to pay for the stereo after it was ruined......

Oh well, life will go on, lesson learned.

Sorry for the rant.
