New visors
My 65 never had a passenger side visor to my wife's chagrin. My original drivers side visor had seen better days and I had spray painted it black prior to reinstallation. I figured if I had to get one for the passenger side I may as well go all out and get a new pair with chrome brackets. I got some from Truckshop OC. I see they are made by Counterpart. Not impressed. The angle is way off. They droop down. (see pic). Compared to the original they are not bent enough and the bends is so close to the mounting bracket its impossible to bend it further. I ended up bending it on the long leg as close as I could get to the elbow. It took a lot of remove/reinstall, back and forth and the visor is a bear to slide back and forth not to mention trying not to mark things up. I couldn't get both exactly the same but I'm probably the only one who will notice. My advise would be to use original brackets and new visors.

Re: New visors
Thanks Moe, mine on my '63 are getting tattered (visors). I'll keep the original brackets based on your experiences and find some visors.

Re: New visors
I bought a set from Dave Graham in Corona, CA for my 62 Custom cab. The first ones they sent were the right color (dark tan / almost brown) but the strip of vinyl around the edge was silver. After talking to Colin Graham, they found some gold edging that came really close to what I think the originals probably looked like. Mine were pretty faded and crumbling but the top sides still had some color. If you’re looking for something close to original, I’d suggest talking to Grahams. I’ll try to get a picture this evening.

Re: New visors
Do you happen to have a website link to Graham's? All I'm getting is a word press thingy. Thanks!

Re: New visors
A little retrospective thought. On the passenger side I should have drilled the big hole, held the visor in the proper position and marked the three screw holes instead of making a template from the drivers side.

Re: New visors
X2 I did the same and the holes were slightly different because it's not exactly a mirror image flip like I thought it would be. Pass side had downward angle for visor at rest position so I loosened the screws and tried to persuade it into alignment with drivers side visor, SNAP! Broke the visor mount around bolt hole. This was 2 years ago. And I just barely got around to buying another visor arm to transfer visor over and try again. This is on my dads 1964 c10. Luckily he's the only one to rise in it and it's not a big deal except the big hole and 3 other holes I drilled in his cab. Ha ha. Now I gotta make it right.
