Need assistance identifying 4x4 parts

Hello all, I'm not new to 67-72 pickups, but am new to 4x4's. I recently purchased a 69 4x4 swb and need help Identifying front/rear differential's, Transmission (4-speed w/granny low), and transfer case. Mainly for the purpose of what fluids to put in them. Do I need lsd in the front/rearends. What is the best brand and weight for the transfer case and tranny.

As you can tell I have some cleaning to do, but I am excited.

Pic's attached and once I start de-greasing, I can get better pic's of whatever you need.

Thx

Re: Need assistance identifying 4x4 parts

Later model chevy 10 bolt front axle---probably converted to disc brake
rear axle is the stock 12 bolt.
trans could be either a SM 420 or 465. 465 will have a pto cover on both sides.
T-case is a rockwell 221

****Thanks for the info kwmech. Yes, it does have front disc. Once I degrease, I'm sure I'll find more markings/info.****

Re: Need assistance identifying 4x4 parts

Looks like a 465/T225 to me, which it should be for ‘69 as long as nothing has been changed in that dept. A lot can happen in 50+ years.

As for fluids, 80w90 dinosaur gear oil in everything. I use the Napa brand because I get discount from work. Whatever brand you choose will likely be great, they really aren’t that picky. I don’t recommend synthetic though. You won’t need Posi additives unless you’ve got a posi. When you pull the covers (highly unlikely the front has one from the factory) you’ll be able to tell what you’ve got. The rear axle has a decent chance of being original to the truck I would say.

Re: Need assistance identifying 4x4 parts

Thanks for the info. Here are a couple more pics

The Tranny has this same plate on both sides and a number on the bottom.

And a direct rear shot or the transfer case
