Trunnion Upgrade
Ordered a trunnion Upgrade as the tailgate was starting to rattle pretty bad. Swap was pretty easy considering I was replacing 50 year old rusty trunnions.
Got them from here: https://tdtrunniondesign.com/products Closes easily and quietly. Also no more rattling going down the road or idling!

Re: Trunnion Upgrade
I did the same set up. Think mine were from Brothers? They are a different brand, but same idea. Work great. Quiet and it doesn't sound like grinding metal when you open and close the tailgate.
