Original radio mounting hardware
Is there a special washer that tightens an original radio against the dash? If yes, what does it look like and does anybody have two for sale?
Thanks! |

Can't help as don't have any but yes there is some speacial hardware that is used to mount the stock radio. Best way to describe it is a "recessed cup" resembling a thimble with a hole in the center. Most times when a radio is removed at a salvage yard they wind up being trashed or left laying in the cab. Needed to mount the original shaft style radio but usually no one stays with the original radio. May find some in some of the more out of the way, older car and truck salvage yards. Maybe even check with some older radio shops that have been in business for some time. Not much help for such a long reply, sorry. Best of luck.
