Updated 73-87.com

Although I haven't updated the site with information on Yeller lately, I did add a new page...or at least got it started

http://www.73-87.com/7387_Novelties/TV_movies.htm

If anyone has any ideas or knows any more info for this page, feel free to let me know. This was actually kind of fun putting together.

The original Fall Guy truck driven by Lee Majors is here in Ojai. It was the truck for photos and that he actually drove to the studio with the big fall guy logo on the hood. A few years back the guy ho owns it said he'd sell it for $8500.00 anyone have a few extra bucks lol, Andy

That's pretty cool.

One of those earth quake movies had Charlton Heston as the star. He had a custom 1974 K5 4x4 with a rock crawler 20 speed transmission (was commented on in the movie of why this other guy didn't know how to drive it)and a hard top with the center cut out so it just had a hoop in the rear like a Pinzgaur.

Watch the first 15 minutes of Cannonball Run, 'Mad Dog' drives a 1980 crew cab Indy Hauler through the front door of the hotel. According to the book 'Cannonball' that actually happened (although I don't know if it was in an Indy Hauler...).

Hahaha That movie is so bassed on truth. Brock Yates actully pulled the Ambulance BS in the real race.

Last Action Hero with Arnie had a 73-75 K5 on 40's witha flame job.

Thanks for the replies guys, some very good ideas!

A few other movies are...

1. Dazed and confused, 70's blue C10 longbed.
2. Terminator, 70's black K10
3. Varsity Blues, 70's lifted K10 long bed, named "Big Blue" I believe.

If anyone can find pics, please post them!

OK folks, got this page a little farther along, and I even added a DL link to Gretchen Wilsons "Redneck Woman" video (featuring a 73-87 ).

Let me know what you think so far.

Don't forget the burban in the volcano movie "Dantes Peak." The movie was all good until it melted in the lava. Later in the movie they discovered an abandoned crew cab. That thing took one heck of a beating also. Just my .02.

Smokey And The Bandit - My all time favorite - has a 1973 GMC wrecker pulling a cop car out of the water after it got stuck chasing the Bandit.

"Under Siege 2" - 1981-2 Orange CD Stepside

I remember because I had a 1982 stepside at the time.
