If you look at the end of your choke cable, you can possibly see what you had on there before. The choke arm shown by Chevy nutcase, is the style I had on my '67 292.
The end of the cable has to be bent into a "S" shape. If you break that "S" off, it is surprisingly difficult to re-bend to that shape. If you make the bend(s) too tight the wire will snap.

The cable for the swivel choke arm is straight.
I will write more later with better photos. This project started last week and then my daughter was killed in a horrific collision so I am not too good at getting things in order here, I will try again later
