install wide band and verify. not sure how else to verify. A wide band is good to have anyway...

Re: lean codes from HE**

Have you checked your fuel pressure? Could be you have a dirty/clogged fuel filter. If that's the case, check your fuel tank, inside, for rust.

Could it be the location of your O2 sensors?

Is it a flex fuel engine? Who tuned it?

You are NOT to old or dumb to learn! I installed this one in an afternoon.

If you don't weld an exhaust shop can install the bung for you.
The hardest part of the whole install was figuring out how to route the wires.
I ended up running the through an existing hole on the firewall next to the column. The gauge is easy to read and responds very quickly.
Hope this helps!

Not flex fuel PSI harness Sent computer that came out of same avalanche as engine for PSI to delete vats I do not know if they changed the tune . LTFT stays at +25 most of the time Would an aftermarket tuner like a diablo fix it?

Re: lean codes from HE**

if your LTFT are at 25% then you got a serious lean issue that needs to be addressed in the tune. NO amount of hardware is going to fix that. It being that lean, I'm actually surprised you haven't already damaged the engine. A diablo-style tuner won't "fix" it, you need someone with HP Tuners to get into those type of changes.

Re: lean codes from HE**

i had a buddy that had a crazy lean problem on a l83 swap.. i actually smoke tested his exhaust, found he forgot to weld the exhaust flange or o2 bungs in all the way..

it seems like you only have 2 options:
Buy and learn how to use the wide band ... youtube will teach you... teaches everything practically

or

pay more money and have a shop do it for you.. will cost far more than 250$

forums can only help so much

Re: lean codes from HE**

Im experiencing a similar issue currently. My tuner has found my injectors are not operating 100%. Ive recently replaced the injectors but we have not finished the fine tuning yet to see if issue is resolved. My injectors were nasty and partially clogged from sitting for years with ethanol in them.
