Whats different about yours? This is a common problem with people with squarebodys. I have a '80 with new hinges and new springs and its stiff as a board. Im having to push one side in and start it down, then go to the other side and do the same and do this a couple times until its about half way. Then I can shove it in at one time and close it. PITA. Definitely no closing this one with one hand.
