Exterior color question.

Has anyone painted the exterior with Nissan Sunlit sand? My truck was originally 525 fawn, and I know that’s not the same as the interior fawn, but I’m considering doing the whole thing in that. It would save a lot of time and money.

Re: Exterior color question.

Sunlit sand is a beautiful colour! I have used it in rattle can to paint the inside of my doors, etc. My plan for my 66 (custom trim) is a bit different. ... Would like to paint the exterior with a slightly darkened version of Saddle and for the two toning, use Sunlit Sand instead of white for the second exterior colour. Also, Sunlit Sand for the interior. I don't know if this helps much with your question, but this is just one idea.

Well no, not really lol. I’ve used it on the interior before as well. Just wondering how it would look as an exterior color.

Re: Exterior color question.

I have saved a truck that looks like it was painted with Medium Fawn Metallic on the exterior. I think if you search for 525 Saddle (1966 version) it should give you a decent idea of what it might look like for different body styles. It's likely a touch darker but not too far off.

On my truck we are actually doing the opposite. I never liked the stock interior color Medium Fawn Metallic so instead it was painted with the exterior color 525 Fawn (1965 version).

Re: Exterior color question.

I did.

Nothing to compare it too but really pleased with the result. Will sort out a few snaps.
