Stupid Question
Ok, this is a stupid question, but, I don't know the answer.
 I just bought a new set of spart plug wires today. They are the 75 corvette ones so that they will be long enough. Now, as we all know there is one really long wire and one really short wire, with all sorts of other lengths in between. My question is this. Which cylinder gets the shortest wire, and which gets the longest?  Is there a web site that shows the order for cylinders from longest to shortest?Todd |

Good question...I normally end up swappin wires for a while untill it is some what close.

The shortest wire is the coil wire. There should only be 5 actual sizes in the kit. The two longest wires go to the two cylinders that are farthest away from the distributor, the next longest to the next pair of cylinders back, and so on. It really doesnt matter what length goes where, just so that it all fits, and does not get in the way of moving components or lays on anything hot.

There is no coil wire since the 75 corvette was HEI.

No points ignition on 75 vettes, HEI, so no coil wire. I did exactly what LM said, run them in a manner that gives what you consider the best looking fit.

Depends on how you run the wires-- the shortest plug wire is #8 and the longer wires depend on if you run the wires over the top of the valve covers and around the front of the heads or under the stock way. The longest is usually 1 & 3 and 2 & 4
