Re: Soap on a Rope
Here is a couple pics of what I got so far. The pieces over the fuel rail is just laying in place, I'll figure it out eventually . I think once everything is powdercoated black it will look better.
I'm working on the intake/air box now, Plan is to cut a ring out of aluminum so it can bolt to the inner fender and then weld the intake to the aluminum ring. and then Ill make a air box on the inside of the fender well. |

Going to look very clean power coated. Dimple dies are a nice touch too.

Re: Soap on a Rope
I've got my air intake ran through the fender well and now it's time to make an air box/inner fender. I plan on running the box to the bottom of the core support to take air in behind the bumper, with dimples in the bumper. I think....? I'm going to draw some holes to see if I like the look first. Open to suggestions !

Re: Soap on a Rope
Squirrel.... Kinda. I wanted to tuck the front bumper on a bit. I was able to move it in a little more than a inch. I cut the frame horns at a angle, I might lose the middle lower bolt but that doesn't bother me too much, I might do something with it later. The out board bolts work fine after I move the hole back an inch or so on the frame. I will be using a painted bumper in the future but this cheap ass LMC chrome bumper works fine for mock up. The painted bumper will get all the mounting holes welded up with studs on the back in addition to dimple die holes across the upper part of the bumper, I think... that's the plan so far; to be able to get air flow to the air box.
