You might want to check with you local law enforcement agency. I believe it is illegal to remove a VIN tag. I know it is here in California.

Does anyone know anymore about this process? I have a title and vin plate for a 67. I have seen others sell them and have heard of others using them on projects of theirs that they have built from a few different trucks.

I don't see a problem with selling them for display purposes only

Oh, and the VIN tag comes with as much of the truck as you like. The truck is a stripped out rolling shell. Tough body but good chassis. $150 takes it all.

title & VIN

That's what I do when I sell them. Offer the junk cab & frame with them. One guy had me torch out that portion of the cab with the VIN. Some people are real touchy about it . Others not. As far as California goes, driving 10 over the speed limit is also illegal, but that's OK with most drivers out there, as well as other states too.

Well said Zoomy.

I'm looking for a '68 GMC 3/4T 2WD VIN/Title if anyone knows of one available.

Any other interest or offers? I'll sit on it for another week or so, then I'm going to saws-all out a few more pieces I might need then give it to a friend at work so he can recover the scrap metal value.
