Thank you

To the active members, the archives of this site, a heart felt Thank you.

Finally got the old truck on the road. Put a few hundred miles on it before I had to pack it away for the winter. Sucks that it's once again sitting in its old place in my barn, but I know, it starts/stops and will be a ton-o-fun next year.

Have fun...Don.

Glad you got the truck on the road. Be sure and start it a few times during the winter and get it out just as soon as you can next spring. Sitting is the hardest thing in the world for any vehicle.

There are so many great people on this site and so much good information that it almost boggles the mind. Thanks for bringing it up in this thread.

This is still the most comprehensive information collection about these trucks on the net, bar none.....

I can't say it any better than Leon did. Congrats on getting your truck running!

Re: Thank you

Lock doc hit the nail on the head. Even start it up and take it up and down the driveway a few times, to get it warmed up and keep all the fluids flowing properly.
This will also discourage any little critters from establishing a homestead in it.
Put a trickle charger on the battery, to keep it fresh too.
Being where you are, I know you don’t want to take it out on your salted roads in the winter (I know, I grew up in Michigan :smoke).
Only those with old trucks/cars, and motorcycles know how truly long the winter season is. See you next spring

Re: Thank you

Great feeling to have your truck up and running, congrats.

In total agreement with everyone.
This site guided me through numerous redo repairs when my restoration shop failed me.
The best place for advice and purchasing parts.
I have learned so much here for that the next C10.
Thanks to the best Chevy Trucks forum.

Re: Thank you

Congratulations on getting your truck on the road, but...

Where are the pics? You know we all want to see them.

Re: Thank you

It's a good feeling to get it up and running and now you have all winter to post pictures of it.

I was as giddy as a skool girl that I got it running, on the road, the only pic I got was when I first moved it outta my barn after way too many years.
Before it's 1st bath in a very long time....

Was having too much fun to remember to take more.

Yea...winter/salt/AV plates legally can not drive it after end of September.
Come on April(big grin)...Don.
