I'm looking for the spring shown in the photo below. It's part number 3996597.

Wink Re: WTB - Clutch Pedal Over-Center Spring

Those were a PITA to find when mine broke in 1992. Also a PITA was replacing it!

Check out this link. Says it's ending today...

Re: WTB - Clutch Pedal Over-Center Spring

Thanks.for the link. I saw that after googling the part number. It looks like it is for pick-up in person only. There is a phone number, so I'll give it a call to see of they will ship.

Re: WTB - Clutch Pedal Over-Center Spring

I went ahead and bought the NOS one on eBay. The shipping charge was obscene.

Unhappy Re: WTB - Clutch Pedal Over-Center Spring

First off, glad you were able to find a new one.

I saw that they were charging $11.45 to my address. For that it should be Priority Mail. A lot of sellers have a healthy "handling" fee tacked on to cover the Ebay seller fees and such.

Unfortunately, nothin is cheap these days..

Re: WTB - Clutch Pedal Over-Center Spring

I did contact the seller on the BigIron auction website, and he said he would ship, but when I tried to go register so I could bid, it said it would take 1 day to approve my account. The auction is over in a few hours. I figured whoever ended up losing that auction out of the two people bidding would jump over to eBay afterward, so that's why I went ahead and bought the one on eBay.
