Re: 22" Gm Transport wheels

Thanks a ton for all the great knowledge in this forum. Followed this thread closely and got my transports reversed hooped, bored & powder coated. Here are a couple photos of what they looked like on my 68 when it was still a stepside.

Got the wheels flipped and powder coated at New Year Metal Finishing in Santa Ana (SoCal): 2815 S Halladay St, Santa Ana, CA 92705

Great crew there, they know what they're doing.

Re: 22" Gm Transport wheels

Yeah but unfortunately for me it was nearly 2 years after I had mine done. No regrets though, I’m happy with the quality of work that the shop did on my wheels. The powder coat and revered wheels came out really nice.

Re: 22" Gm Transport wheels

I ended up with a set for free so figured I would mess with them and see how they looked. In the rear I cut the welds and "pressed" them out and flipped them. For boring the centers out I just used 2 hole saws on 1 arbor, the smaller one centers on the oe wheel hole and outer cuts the new hole. And hit the local import shop for bug hubcap clips for 2 bucks each.
