yeah, GM used staples to hold a few rubber items onto a steel part. musta been a heck of a stapler, one you don't wanna mess with. it amazes me to see a staple that went through a steel part just fine but then something bends it over on the backside like it is butter. I could see it now, if I had one, the wife comes out to get me at bedtime, only to find me pinned to the inner fender screaming like a banshee. haha.

Agreed, I’d likely bleed out before the wife found me stapled to the truck. I think I’ll just use some silicon adhesive to hold them in place. Thanks!
