55.2-59 USA-740 Radio Problem

Hi, Have a question on this radio (Custom autosound USA-740) I got for the 57 chevy pickup project. It has a stock dash opening and can't get the shafts to go though far enough to get the nuts on. Has anyone installed one of these radios with success? I have talked to Custom Autosound Manufacturing with no success. They say the shafts on there radios are all the same length. They give yu a bezel that fits the dash opening perfect but the radio face plate is like a normal rectangular radio and that its the back of the dash before the shafts go through far enoug. Hi, I tried to install the radio again today and was able to barely get the nuts on. It is a tight fit but got them on. So I am all set on this problem. Steve
