booster question
My old 70 chevy has a L250 and i want to add a booster from a 78 chevy to complete the break upgrade (disc/drum). Will the 250 produce enough vaccume to operate the booster properly. If not does anyone know about a booster that will work.

A stock 250 will make enough vacuum to work the booster.

Yes it will work but your stock air cleaner will not.

I just put a booster on mine this past weekend and I too have the monster 250. Had to get a smaller 'aftermarket' air cleaner, but it works like a dream. Locked the wheels up first time out. Takes a few stop signs to get used to, but it is like a night-and-day difference. I got my vacuum from the port on the intake that is just under the carb on the side of the intake (square headed plug). I had to order the 'power' master cylinder boot from Chevy Duty (less than $5) to fill the hole in the firewall where the rod comes through, but other than that, not a problem in the world.
