Re: Dummy Filler Neck/Tank Delete for 67-72 Trucks with Removed In-Cab Tank

Patrick, thanks for a great product. Well designed . Good shipping and service.
I got a chance to install it before Christmas. I ordered it with the 67/70 grommet and I am glad I did. My 72 grommet is about 9 months old and in good shape so I tried it first. The neck on the 71/72 must be smaller diameter.
Also not flat on the back like early version. Patrick's design counts on the flat back of the 67/70. Fit worked fine. Install is easy. The 72 grommet allows some flex but will not leak.
The 67/70 grommet with its solid flat back is the way to go. Rock solid mounting and also will not leak. I am thinking the 72 might split over time because of the diameter miss match where the 67/70 is perfect.
I could not get the smell of gas off the old cap and out of the cab so a new one plus some hardware is on the way from GMC Paul's
Great job Patrick. I am very happy with it!
