I have this 3- groove short waterpump pulley if you can’t find the correct cast iron pulley.

Re: WTB 68 sb cast iron 3 grove water pump pulley

I believe that a steel stamped pulley will work (not claiming this one will/wont just sharing information). Now the clutch fan from a 65-67 has a shorter stem and is a different part number tha 68 up because the cast pulley is much thicker. The 68 up sbc fan is much more common to find though so it depends on how original you want to be. Just sharing

Hoping to find an original cast pulley. Thanks LL99 and Chewy for the help.

Re: WTB 68 sb cast iron 3 grove water pump pulley

If you find one, I would like to see it. I've never seen a cast iron water pump pulley, Seen plenty of cast iron crank and power steering pump pulleys. My question is why do you need a 3 groove? The only time I see 3 groove water pump pulleys is when the engine has A.I.R and A/C. Power steering doesn't use the water pump pulley. Just wonder.

I think this is the pulley the OP is talking about.
I thought this pulley stopped in 1966 but I could definitely be wrong.

My pulley I posted is for the A.I.R. Pump engines with P/S and A/C.
I consider it a rare waterpump pulley to find.

Thanks for all the input. Chewy has a 3 groove cast wp pulley on his 68/327 air, ps and a.i.r. I've got a pic but don't know how to post it. Maybe Chewy will chime in and post it.

I have one of those 3 groove 3868559 cast pullies. I am looking for the 2 groove 2995646 AH and the lower 2 groove 3744043 BA in great shape.

Wow. That is all confusing. Not sure what anyone wants. I have a few stacks of pulleys too.

Re: WTB 68 sb cast iron 3 grove water pump pulley

I picked up the 3 groove pressed steel pulley and it seems to line up with my other pulleys. Would trade for the cast pulley....but I don't have the pulleys he needs. Thanks.
