New turn signal switch and still nothing.

Before the truck had no turn signal lights or dash indicators.
New switch and still nothing. All fuses look good. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: New turn signal switch and still nothing.

Pull fuse and check for continuity, or test voltage to ground on each side of fuse. Check the flasher relay if fuse is for sure good. You are turning the ignition on (sorry, I have to ask)? Do the brake lights work?

There are some good schematic links in this thread https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=185856

Also check your grounds.
These truck are notorious for grounding issues

Lol. I don't think I had the ignition on. But no four way flashers anyway. Since there was four way flasher, I didn't bother checking brake lights. But with the old switch, I do remember the driver brake light working.

Just because it 'looks good' doesn't mean a thing. Test lamp both sides of the contacts. I've has numerous fuses that looked good over the years that were failures. Signals and dash are 2 separate circuits. Dash and running lights are the same fuse and signals work off another fuse and a flasher

Re: New turn signal switch and still nothing.

I just fixed this issue also. check the plug and wiring that plugs into the rectangular box against the firewall between the steering column and fuse block. (mine was goldish color) i had no turns until i got good contact with that plug into that box. I dont know what that box is, but that was what fixed mine.
