71 short box....or is it?

Got a stumper for you...went to look at this short box 4x4 for sale in Wisconsin. Something looked a little off to me when the owner e-mailed the pictures, but my buddy, my son, and I had to go check it out. Can you spot what is wrong with this short fleet truck? I'll post back tomorrow night with what we found, and how many spotted the ??? The owner was not familiar with this era of trucks and didn't know either, or was a pretty good actor!
Later, Gord

Cut down bed on a blazer frame with truck cab and doors, I've seen a few like that. It still has K5 Blazer on the front fender...

Also, no side markers on the bed, I would guess someone had a rusty blazer and a decent 67 cab and bed... and the desire to merge the 2

Don't really understand it though, Rg

Man you guys are good, jim is on the money...K-5 Blazer with a cab put on and a short box with about 10'' cut off the front. Same thing when I first saw the pics, the box side in front of the rear tire just looked too short. Sorry 70 gmc, no prize, just pride that you spotted it right away!

Hey Hutch is that yours? Looks sharp, the one we looked at was OK, but not the best body work, front of box was rough where they cut it; and the cab corners and rockers didn't line up so they filled the gap with bondo.

btw: is that 4'' of snow in Texas?

Nope just a pic that I got off the web.
It was for sale $6500 I think.

There is another way to do the Blazer truck conversion that does not have the gap between the bed and cab.
You basically weld the back of a truck cab to a blazer tub.
These type of trucks always make me take a double take.
