Another LED bulb question

Whatever led bulb I try to install on the front turn signals it never works. If I turn on the blinker it just stays lit and the rears (led) don’t blink at all. I have the special blinker switch. It works fine if I have the leds in the rear and normal bulb up front. I have cleaned off all the metal to metal connections so I am pretty sure it is well grounded. Is there another way to ground it that I am missing? It’s a 62 c10 pickup.

You can get a no-load flasher module to replace the regular one, or install load resistors. Google or look on Amazon.com for LED load resistors. Or what I do is use regular bulbs in the front and LED in back. The advantage of LED bulbs is instant-on for your brake lights giving you more safety, there really isn't any advantage for using in any other position on the truck. If you use a paperclip to plug and unplug into the flasher module socket and with a helper notice it works OK, then that would determine the flasher module is not suitable. Wear leather gloves when handling the paper clip in case it gets hot.

I have the non load flasher. The only reason I am looking for LED blinkers up front is so that they would be brighter.

Perhaps the no-load flasher you have is not working properly, or you need load resistors, or you might try incandescent 2357 bulbs which are brighter.

I don’t have it in front of me now but the amber bulb that is currently in the truck has a 4 digit part number that starts with a 3. If the led bulb is not going to be brighter than its not worth the trouble of getting a resistor and LEDs

My mistake for assuming you might have an 1157 bulb. There are many different bulbs that are similar in size and can interchange. Some are brighter than others.

My Nephew put a-Lot of LED light on his truck.

After he added a few,.

We had to add some filters.

I am not sure what kind.

When you find out the type of regular bulb you have that is not so bright, let us know and perhaps there will be a different bulb that will work better.

That’s what I was thinking thanks. When the storm we are having is over I will take a look.
