Mine are ALWAYS baffled. IMO baffles only make the tank stronger. Factory tanks don't have baffles right?? I put the baffles in not only for slosh control but strength. These aluminum tanks surprise me. I made a replacement tank for an enclosed race car trailer (fuel for generator) and took the old tank (that someone else built) and put it though h*!! and couldn't get it to completely break open. It already had a hairline crack due to poor design and inadequate material thickness. I can't see using anything less than .125 wall. Later, FCG
