Arrow battery on the frame

I am thinking of mounting my battery on the drivers side frame below the box. The only thing is that I will use the truck for daily driving. Could this be a problem. Any ideas to design a box that will drop down and out incase it kneed to be jumped. Thanks to all you chevy guys.

The street rod guys have a set-up to do this.I don't know who makes it but you should be able to find it in StreetRodder mag.It tucks up under the body next to the frame and swings down for acess.

I made a box to hang off the frame on my Dads 70 CST, its mounts just before the rear wheels on the passenger side. I even had louvers punched in some sheet metal for the side walls of the box. Moroso makes remote terminals and I out those on the firewall where the battery box would be. I would take some pictures but the frame is kinda buried in crap right now.

Hmmm, Now It Is A Toss Up, Mount A Optima Upside Down With No
Battery Box Thingamagiggy $139.99, Or Buy This For $99.99 And A
Walmart Battery For $39.99 And Spend About The Same Amount.

( I GUESS OPTION 2 WOULD BE ALOT SAFER THAN OPTION 1 )

I have a summit battery relocation kit, mounted to the outside of the rail (pass side). i havent had the need to jump start the truck, but have charged it off the fender mounted junction block(same spot i hook the timing lite). the kit was about 40-45 bones, & a little fab work for the tray.....remember, you cant run too many ground straps on that swap. Best of luck, crazyL

Why don't you mount a second in the engine compartment? I fabricated a battery holder on the left side of the radiator. No luck uploading the pic's. I'll try tomarrow.
