70 GMC Short Step For Sale

I have a 70 GMC short Step I am driving daily I will be selling or parting out soon.

Will sell complete if I can get some of my money back.

I am already going to take a big loss.

Truck has
New dual exhaust 3kmiles tops, flowmaster type mufflers, $450 to have done
Front disc brake conversion, new ball joints, 1 new caliper, new pads
Newer Chevy rally rims, rear are still in box, centers never installed yet
New tires, again ~$3k miles on them
th350 tranny with about 15k miles, shifts perfect, rear seal is leaking.
spare 700r4 to go with it
good spare pass door
good used trailer arms (not installed yet)

LOTS of free rust, assume every body panel needs replaced, not just fixed.

Both floor repair panels (not installed yet, not worth it on this cab)

Has a custom hidden hitch behind license plate.

2" lowered front, 4" rear (not installed yet) springs. Fronts have about 3k miles on it.

Dash has tach installed in factory location, looks good, not a factory tach though.

B&M Floor Shift

I have a few other odds, ends.

I am driving truck daily now, although will NOT be selling it with the motor.

I will install a motor for someone, if they deliver it for cost of parts though to make it drivable.

Mechanically truck is in good running condition, body is full or rust, etc.

Taking offers as a complete truck.

If not will be parting out, and will post at that time what is available and prices.

Located just outside Louisville KY.

email me any questions, offers to ty1295@insightbb.com

Truck isn't available "today", but could be in a day or two for right price once I pull my motor out.

Trades possible, although not my first choice.
Would trade for car trailer for sure.

Not sure what it is "WORTH", I know what I have in it, and that is far ahead of worth.

I am thinking parted out I can get more with the spare tranny, door, springs, tires, etc.

I just prefer not to take time to take it apart.

I have some #'s in my head I don't think are unrealistic, but what fun would it be to just tell you. Looking for offers.

Actually if you post on the parts board you have to put a price too, its the rules

Fair enough.

Here is what I have into it

Original price paid for truck $1,800 (had running engine paid WAY too much)
Exhaust $450
Springs $200
Tires $400
Wheels $200
Extra 700 tranny $230
Balljoints $100

There is more, but that is main stuff beyong typical maintence.

Total ~$3380

If someone offered $1,200 it would be gone. If they didn't want the 700r4, I would take $1000

I might consider less, otherwise I will part it out.

I have not been following prices of these trucks lately, so have no clue how close to reality the price is. Like I said, body on truck is rusty.

Trying to be as fair as possible without losing anymore than I already will. To be honest would be a good truck to combine parts with another, or to part out to make some $$. I just don't have the time to do it.

What size engine does it have???

How are the rockers, floor, cab corners, ect? Maybe a bit more info on the condition an extent of the rust would help it sell. Possibly some cloe-up pics?

It looks like a good project from the pics you already have.

It currently has a v8 350 which does NOT go with the truck, unless you have a spare $5k to add to the price.

Trust me when I say assume every body panel needs replaced. I have done enough bodywork and painting.
