new precision door molding?

I just put new precision door molding in my 67 C10. The kind that snaps on the door frame. They went in easy but when I finished both sides The doors won't shut all the way closed. You guys know a trick to get the doors to close? thanks Rick

Re: new precision door molding?

No real trick to it . You need to adjust the doors . After 50 years of people tweaking things nothing is where it was from the factory we used to adjust doors on older vehicles in the shop to be tighter as the rubbers were compressed and no longer sealing .

Re: new precision door molding?

I did what GMCPaul said and used a heat gun to warm up the molding and it worked well both sides close good and tight now. thanks GMCPaul

Re: new precision door molding?

I'm thinking of waiting until the Tucson Summer to mount my Door Seals. Then I won't need a heat gun.
