U bolt torque dana 60 rear
I had to shim my leaf springs and I installed new 9/16 ubolts, book says 150lbs torque. I stopped at 110 and wanted feedback, I don't want to break the saddles. [69 gmc 2500 4wd]

Re: U bolt torque dana 60 rear
The 1967 service manual says K20 is 150ft lbs. (1967, because that's what I had opened and didn't want to hunt the 1969 manual)
But, I just did my 1967 K20 and went with what the bolt manufacturer said, see here - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1392665 My bolts were 5/8 on the front and rear. |

Re: U bolt torque dana 60 rear
I was reading after doing mine, they recommend to check them at 20 miles and 20 more miles....then 500 miles... or something like that.... I'll definitely check them at least once or twice...
