Wiper transmission arms

I need a driver side link for my 59 . The part that goes from the motor to the bezel. The threads on mine arent useable. They sell other years for TF trucks but not 59. Is there a difference and can I use another year part? 4 AM couldnt sleep trying to figure this out. Sometimes at helps to sit back and rethink. Rechased and filed the threads until I got some useable, Ground down the back of the tower bezel and couldnt get enough room to start it with the gasket so tossed the gasket. Finally got it on and tight. A little silicon squirt should make up for missing gasket
