I made a living for years with the mechanic tools I have...most of which I bought before getting married. Everything I have cost (including the wood carving and wood working tools) about the same as her latest sewing machine. She only has six, now- she gave one to a friend. My 3/8" ratchets have the knurling worn off the handle like that.
