Rosie, a '62 GMC Carryall
My favorite aunt passed away about a year, year and a half back. She left me Rosie.
Rosie is a west coast Carryall that is perched on a squarebody frame. Some sort of GM Crate motor, 4L80E, air-lockers, all the toys. My uncle-in-law's son owned her, drove her to Alabama, then went off to god-knows-where and passed away. Uncle passed away, so Rosie was sitting for 6ish years when I got her. Took some workin, but I got her to idle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYrl-VEBVPY About a month later I got her running well enough to drive to the gas station and fill her up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ7l_QAe_Ng Going up this weekend to work on her some more, get her more reliable and hopefully be able to get her registered and insured. Lots of rust that I need to address (that you can see) and I need to figure out the mechanism for the rear-door so I can replace the lock and lube up the latch. |
