Box, Tool Stowage Hinge Placement?

I'm in the process of putting the truck back together after body and paint.

The original three hinges were in really rough shape and the body shop cut them off the truck without knowing any better...so I had to source three used ones.

Are they supposed to go on like this? With that big of a gap towards the bottom of the door?

When we put it on the truck and closed the door, the door was sticking out about a 1/4".

Can someone take a pic of theirs from the side showing how their hinges are fitting on the door please?

I was thinking the hinges might be bent, but they're all identical.

Edit: Yes, we removed the lock mechanism and opening...got tired of trying to source it and figured we're not gonna keep anything in there that needs to be locked up anyways.

Thanks. Not sure how it could...but maybe.

I've been trying to look at different images in old posts here.

https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=539198

A couple of them look like the hinges are flush with all the bends in the door. Some look like mine. Others look like they run a seal over the hinges, and others under it.

And one looks like they mounted the hinges to the the metal of the truck, then slid the storage compartment in or they cut out the area for the hinges in the storage compartment which doesn't look right and I'm not about to cut this thing up.

Yeah, that does look similar to what I have. We just can't seem to get the door to seat somewhat flush when closed.

It may have something to do with the under bracing.

Here is a Thread of a picture of the original stuff.

Which IMHO needs to be improved with Drain holes.
