how to restore a booster?
i was just wondering if there is any good way to restore a booster? is it painted or coated originally? i know this may seem trivial to some but i am sure there are some good tried and true methods. i am looking for a stock apperance, or close to stock. thanks for any help!

As with any generalizations there are exceptions, but the 2WD came with cad plated boosters and the 4 WD came with pinted black boosters.
We use Eastwoods detail gray for the 2WD's, not totally correct, but we like it. For the 4WD's we use a semi-gloss black which is very close to factory. Jim |

I was under the belief that the paint or plate depended on the type of booster that it was, Delco plated cadnium and bendix painted black for two wheel drives, not sure about 4x4s. The golden cad system from eastwood is ok I think they have improved it since I used it last, and quality plating is expensive. You mght consider the black approach. Just my .02
