Actually, the Honda seals are more compliant and make the doors easier to close. No, they are certainly not $5/each. And they are not a 100% perfect fit, which is noticeable in the bottom corners where the trim pieces don't fit the seals well.
There's an older thread somewhere on this forum with a link to a video showing how a guy made the doors close easily using stock-type press-on seals. It was all about bending the flange that the seals press on to. He did before primer and paint. On a supporting note, someone at GMCPauls told me years ago that the usual cause for hard door closing is new rocker panels that need to have that flange "adjusted". The above applies to 67-72 trucks.
