What are these plugs/wires for?
I can't seem to find these in the wiring diagram...
The one on the passenger side looks like it broke at the end to wherever it's supposed to go and when I pulled it apart it looked like it had a glass fuse that rusted and caused it to break. There is an identical plug/wire on the driver side. 1970 C10 but it's not original and had lots of DIY mods over the years before we got it and a mad scientist did all the "wiring".

This is going to the voltage gauge? Why the two plugs/fuses on both sides of the truck?

Both are used for the amp meter . Takes the mini glass fuse

It's for an original Ammeter not Voltage meter. The Ammeter senses the difference in voltage on both ends of the circuit. If you're truck still has an Ammeter then you'll need both fuses. If your truck has been retrofitted with a Voltage meter then this circuit should no longer be hooked up or needed.

Both use a 4 Amp fuse for the Battery Gauge (Ammeter). They both go directly to the gauge and nowhere else.

If it is corroded or you can't get the broken fuse out, you can replace it with a universal inline fuse holder & a 4 amp fuse.

I’d soak it for a few days in WD-40, then grab the remaining metal with smallest needle nose pliers ya got in your toolbox, don’t destroy the rubber boot

In case it's not blatantly obvious, these are the short type. P/n is SFE-4
I couldn't find them locally and had to order them off the River. Near as I can tell, that janky looking plastic tape on the bundle is original

Thank you everyone, it does have the stock ammeter in it but never worked...now I know why.
But we do have an aftermarket set of gauges for oil press, voltage, and water temp so we're just going with that and deleting everything else... Thank you.

Inside that janky bundle of tape lies the main splice of the harness.
